Not a place we frequent often but if it's your first time in Charleston "The Market" is a good place to start. Make sure to read up on your history before you participate in any tours though :)

Every Saturday Morning Tour 10:00-11:30 AM Afternoon Tour 4:00 to 5:30 PM An “up close” view and history of Simmons’ Ironworks in Ansonborough with Sandra Campbell, Licensed Tour Guide. Tour begins and ends at St. John’s Reformed Episcopal Church (91 Anson) in The Heart Garden with refreshments. Reservations required: $25
