FAQs

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Need a hotel shuttle? Please fill out the google form so we can get a good head count from the different hotels https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1RLQg5_zzirpKw_Il71BxWTLy8a8YfC70mK75zFCIbVs/viewform Driving? Park here: 42.3455273, -83.8220894. Parking Lot in Loch Alpine at the corner of Aberdeen & Loch Alpine Drive. This lot is less than a mile from the house/venue. There will be multiple shuttles running from 3:45pm - 5:30pm and back to the lot starting around 9:00pm. Rideshare - Uber/Lyft directly to 4701 Bridgeway Drive. (Note: since the venue is a bit far from town, it might be difficult and costly to get a ride after the event. If this is the case, we recommend taking the shuttle to one of the hotels and ubering from there).

Question

Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

We love you and your kids! However, we’re planning on having this be a child-free event with the exception of any ‘babe in arms’ situations (think <12 months old).

Question

Isn’t it cold in Michigan?

Answer

Sometimes - we are expecting it to be warm by May with average temperatures around 65. The wedding will be outside, so take that into consideration. Rain is a factor, but we’ll have an extra tent if it looks like rain the week of.

Question

Who’s in the wedding party?

Answer

We’re not doing a traditional wedding party, so don’t be offended if you’re not in it because it doesn’t exist! The wedding will be oPHISHiated by Andrea Paine and our ‘berg boy’ is Allen Williams.

Question

Isn't that Riley's birthday?

Answer

Sure is - more to celebrate, less dates to remember!

Question

No dress code? Wear whatever you want?

Answer

We realize that no dress code can be confusing and can lead to folks over dressing/underdressing and feeling awkward. For context Riley will be wearing white but not a particularly formal/traditional gown. Graham will be wearing a kilt but no jacket or tie. If you feel like rocking the traditional suit or cocktail dress go for it but if you feel like getting a little wild with it and dressing loud we’re here for it. Bust out that mardi gras shirt that your wife says makes you look ridiculous. Got a velour tracksuit with leopard print? Run it. Canadian tuxedo with a feathered cap? Oui Chef. Fun and comfortable over stuffy and formal.

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

We will have grazing charcuterie tables, Mediterranean buffet with meat and falafel, late night pizza and lemon cake. We got too much food so please eat.
