Let us take you back to 2020…It was still mid-quarantine, restaurants were limited on staff and hours, mask mandates were at every corner, and the Grayhawk Dutch Bros in Scottsdale, Arizona was still running as if nothing had changed. It was in this moment Graham and Marisa met. He had just started his barista journey and Marisa was responsible for training him. They didn’t talk much that first day, which really bothered Marisa. She was determined to get him to talk. After a few shifts here and there, Marisa still didn’t have much luck. Later that fall, one of their coworkers was having a birthday party. This was going to be the party that Marisa decided she was going to interrogate Graham and get him to talk. Sure enough, her plan worked and the two of them talked all night. After that night they talked every single day for hours and hours on end. They discovered their love for broadway, faith, exercise, hiking, sports, & of course, coffee. Their friendship blossomed and two of them began hiking and walking every single day. They were inseparable. The friendship developed into the beginning of their romantic relationship over the best breakfast date ever. Soon enough the of two of them split apart from the Grayhawk Dutch Bros. Marisa had begun managing the Cold Stone Creamery at Desert Ridge Marketplace and Graham continued his Dutch Bros journey at their new Pima location. Even with separate schedules, the two love brews continued to be inseparable. Eventually Graham split from the much loved Dutch Bros and began assisting Marisa at Cold Stone. The sweet treats were coworkers again! With this, the two of them continued grow stronger in their communication, faith, and work ethic. Marriage was always a discussion throughout their dating life. Graham and Marisa had similar ideas as to how and when Graham would “Pop the question”. So on their 2 year Anniversary, Graham’s proposal was much anticipated by Marisa, yet still an exciting surprise to her. She of course said yes and through the love and support of their families and friends, they cannot wait to celebrate their big day with you!
