Kindly respond by March 23rd using the RSVP tab at the top of this website or the RSVP button on the Home Page
Yes! The dress code is Black Tie Optional, and bright colors are encouraged as well as suits/tuxedos and floor to mid length gowns. Please note that this is an outdoor event, with lots of soft and/or uneven surfaces....you might want to re-think the stilettos
Please arrive between 3:15 and 3:45 to enjoy a celebratory glass of bubbles.
Yes and thank you for asking! We welcome photos at the reception, but please have your phones off and stowed during the ceremony
The ceremony and reception will be held entirely outdoors on the grounds of Magnolia House (with the exception of restrooms, which are located on the ground floor of the house). There will be shelter in the event of rain, but the surfaces include lawn, gravel, mulch, and paving stones which can be uneven. Also, please note that there are some steps to access the restrooms in the house.
Immediately after the ceremony, drinks and appetizers will be served in the gardens around the tent and pavilion. The wedding party (and their significant others) and the couple's parents, siblings, and grandparents will recess directly into the house for quick photos and will join the rest of the guests in the gardens afterward. Dinner will be served in the tent at approximately 6:15 pm, and the dance floor will open after. Music will continue until 10:00 pm and open bar will be available until 9:45 pm
Parking on the property is very limited and will be reserved for guests with mobility issues, as well as those staying on the property. If you are close enough to walk, please do so, using Andrews Avenue (described below) to access the back entrance to Magnolia House, or Spring Street (by the bridge in the middle of town), or Meadow Lane (beside Hot Springs Rafting Company) to access the front entrance. If you need to drive, there are two parking options as follows. Magnolia House suggests using the town parking lot on Andrews Avenue, beside Big Pillow Brewery. It's less than 3 minutes (and a very pretty) walk to the back entrance of the property. As you exit the lot, turn left and go approx. one block, walk over the Red Bridge and then straight up the driveway. Continue through the gates which will be left open for arriving guests. Keep walking up the driveway to the wedding. (Gates will be closed before the ceremony begins). Alternatively, there is some street parking close to the front entrance of the property. To access this parking, navigatre to 227 Lawson Street. Once you arrive at this home, take a left on Mountain Heights Road and you can park on the left side of the street flanking the green space at 227 Lawson Street. The Magnolia House team will be around and available to direct you with parking here.
We're sorry but the venue is very small, so invitations are limited to the name(s) on the envelope. We appreciate your understanding
We love your kids, but please do not bring toddlers to the ceremony
There are no large hotels in Hot Springs, but there are a lot of rental cabins, cottages, and houses. However, the most desirable places book up well in advance. We have listed a number of recommended rentals in the "Travel & Accommodation" section of this website that we hope will help.
Yes! We hope you'll be able to join us for some pre-wedding fun, starting with a gathering at Big Pillow Brewing on Thursday evening. Please see the "Schedule" section of this website for details and additional activities
Unfortunately, Hot Springs does not have any type of car service. If at all possible, book accommodations within walking distance of Magnolia House.
In Hot Springs, both Hillbilly Market and Sara Jo's Gas station next door are convenience stores but also have some fresh produce, a deli, and locally-made packaged goods. Across the street, Tobacco Road is a smoke shop with an excellent selection of wines and craft beers. The town of Marshall, about 15 minutes away, has a large Ingles supermarket. You cannot buy liquor anywhere in the county
