Graham and I had our first personal encounter that was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I will not go into detail but he has yet to forget it, as I never will, as well. Fast-forward to years later... with Shirley working her magic, a game of darts (my favorite), and conversation about how I had never eaten at Boyette's... our first date was made. We had the perfect dinner... although I will admit that I was so nervous to even eat in front of him and everything took-off from there. On January 18, 2015, we were "official," and a month later we told everyone. It has been a relationship that showed our worst and best in one another and how much we were willing to fight what we had. Our relationship blossomed over time and we were able to experience life achievements with each other. Graham watched me graduate with my first degree. I was able to see him go through the stressful process of purchasing a house and we created a home together starting in July 2017. On December 30, 2017, I was manically cleaning and organizing the house to prepare for a get-together with friends for NYE. As he returned from Jackson, I began telling him about what all I had accomplished and how Toby was a bad little dog. He hollered for me to come to our room. All I was thinking was that he was go to tell me to slow down, hush, and relax. I walked in the room and there he was, down on one knee asking me to marry him. In my sweats, no make-up, and looking like an absolute hot mess, I stood in awe. My initial response was "What?! What?! What?! You want to marry me?" After he inquired on if that meant yes, I said "YES!" So here we are... planning a wedding and getting started on our forever and always....
