It was January 2022
A friend of Brooke’s invited her to a young adult small group. Little did she know, the group was led by none other than the "intimidatingly attractive" Graham Popadic
When Brooke arrived, Graham introduced himself—definitely not your typical meet-cute, considering they met in line for the bathroom
They chatted briefly, and Graham hoped to continue the conversation after group, but by the end of the night, Brooke was gone
Both went on with their lives as if they’d never met

Fast forward to April, Graham stumbled into a coffee shop and found himself talking to Brooke again. She mentioned having been to his small group, and Graham, convinced he knew everyone, said, “I’ve never seen you.” They hit it off, and only later did Graham remember their bathroom encounter
Not wanting to let her slip away again, Graham asked for her number and invited her to coffee. One date, three hours, and six miles in the rain later—the rest is history
