In August 2014, Amanda was vacationing in Ocean City, New Jersey with her family. After spending the day on the beach, she was invited to meet up with some friends on the boardwalk. When she got to the boardwalk, Amanda was introduced to a cute boy named Andy. They went go-karting and walked up and down the boardwalk getting to know each other. They left each other that night both interested in one another, but too shy to take it any further. Five months later, in January 2015, they re-connected, and Andy decided to visit Amanda at her college. Amanda’s school was only 25 minutes from Andy’s Marine Corps unit, so he began visiting more frequently. From then on, Amanda and Andy would spend almost every weekend together. Fast forward seven years... On July 31st, 2021, for Andy’s birthday, he wanted to visit the Paxson Hill Farm & Nursery in New Hope, PA. Amanda thought this was weird, since Andy normally would never want to go to a flower garden or get dressed up, but she went with it since it was his birthday. They went with Andy’s sister, Katy, her boyfriend, Ben, and Andy’s best friend, Joe. They walked around for a while, when Katy asked if she could take a picture of Andy and Amanda in front of a beautiful archway and fountain. While she snapped a couple pictures, Andy dropped to one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. After saying yes, Amanda looked up when she heard Bruno Mars “Marry You,” begin playing, and saw her two best friends Kelly and Courtney running towards her. They celebrated at the New Hope Winery. Afterwards, Amanda went home to tell her family the exciting news - but it turned out they already knew. When she pulled up to her house, standing on the front lawn was both her and Andy’s family and friends waiting to celebrate with them!
