We're so excited to celebrate with you!

This was always going to be a challenge for poor Graeme. Having discussed the possibility of getting engaged, we both agreed it was going to happen eventually. So Graeme asked "If I was to hypothetically look for a ring, who should I speak to?". Mel responded "Seek the wisdom of Bridget (her sister) or Lorna (her best friend)". Cue many months of not so subtle hint dropping, emails from "Anita Ring" with engagement ring suggestions and straight up dragging Graeme into jewellery shops. How was Graeme ever going to pull off a surprise engagement to Mel?! Unbeknownst to Mel, Graeme has already bought a ring. Having successfully convinced Mel that the proposal was at several months away, he management to sneak the ring to Europe for their 2019 holiday. Having endured a week of stress, partly due to intercontinental travel, driving on the other side of the road, potentially losing/having the ring stolen, Mel finding the ring and many, many, MANY Christmas markets with an adult lady child. Graeme finally decided to pop the question at a Bier cafe after a marathon day of shopping in Strasbourg, France. Mission accomplished, total surprise was achieved. And of course, she said YES!!
