Chicago River Architecture Tour
The CAC River Cruise is a really fun one-hour introduction to the beautiful cityscape and a little bit of Chicago history. We recommend checking it out in the AM (~11 am) before the sun is out in full swing.
Navy Pier Fireworks Evening of July 4
Fourth of July fireworks will be held on the Navy Pier. You can also get a good sight of it from any of the lakefront restaurants, beaches, rooftop bars, and parks.
The Lincoln Park Farmers Market
The farmer's market is a really cute way to spend Saturday morning! It's open Saturday morning through to the afternoon and definitely worth a little visit.
The Art Institute of Chicago
Our favorite museum in Chicago! The Marc Chagall stained glass on the first floor is not to be missed and makes for a nice cooler summer activity.
North Avenue Beach
The beach is a ~5-minute walk from the hotel. You can run/walk along the beach path, or just spend the afternoon on the beach with a drink.
Lincoln Park Zoo
Strolling through Lincoln Park in the summertime is always picturesque, and in the park is a free zoo with amazing lions, leopards, etc.
