Just outside the resort gates of Kiawah is Freshfields Village which offers a number of spots for shopping, coffee, and dining. There is Harris Teeter on site here for groceries as well - Check out the Village details in the link.

From hanging at the beach to lounging at the pool or even kayaking in marshes - there are a number of excursions available through the Resort itself or just to bop around and enjoy on your own! If you're looking for a tennis partner ask Sarah's mom, Barbara - she can rarely say no to time on the court :)
Downtown Charleston is about 45 minutes from Kiawah Island. For our guests looking for a day out and about, head to the city to take a walk around the Battery or College of Charleston, shop on King Street, or take in some history at Fort Sumter!
