Things To Do

Brooklyn Museum

200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238

Gracie and Christian went on an early date here, where they saw an exhibit about CIA coups in Latin American countries. They’ve been back many times.

Community Bookstore

143 7th Avenue, Park Slope, NY 11215

Gracie’s childhood bookstore, and Christian took her here as a pretense to get her on the side of the park where he wanted to pop the question. She mused about buying a copy of the Power Broker, and he emphatically said it wasn’t a good idea that day.

Lofty Pigeon Books

743 Church Avenue, Kensington, NY 11218

Gracie and Christian’s current neighborhood bookstore. Where many of these pictures were taken!

Hinterlands Bar

739 Church Avenue, Kensington, NY 11218

An excellent neighborhood spot with old D&D/Warhammer rulebooks on the bathroom walls.

The Adirondack

1241 Prospect Avenue, Windsor Terrace, NY 11218

A favorite neighborhood spot. Christian and Gracie went here after they got engaged, and they saw the Yankees lose in an embarrassing way to the Dodgers in the 2024 World Series (go Mets).

Film Forum

209 West Houston Street, New York, NY 10014

An excellent arthouse cinema specializing in indie screenings and repertory films. Christian is a member; thank you Polly!

Le Paddock

1235 Prospect Avenue, Windsor Terrace, NY 11218

Christian and Gracie’s favorite French restaurant. The owner is very nice!

Werkstatt

509 Coney Island Avenue, Flatbush, NY 11218

Ask for the “beer in a big glass” as Christian once did.

Deux Chats

27 Broadway, Southside, NY 11249

The best spot for martinis and oysters in the whole city

Westsider Rare & Used Books Inc.

2246 Broadway, New York, NY 10024

This used bookstore feels like a relic from another era. Add it to your morning on the upper west side and act like a Nora Ephron character.

Prospect Park

Brooklyn, NY

Brooklyn’s backyard, and the place where Gracie and Christian got engaged! Designed by the same architect as Central Park, he referred to Prospect Park as the Crown Jewel of Brooklyn! (as Gracie will never tire of telling you)

For all the days along the way
