As some of you may know, we first met in our 6th-grade English class back in 2015 when our teacher randomly seated us at the same table. From that moment on, we became best friends almost instantly. By 7th grade, Liam officially asked Grace out—whatever that means when you're twelve. Grace wasn’t sure she was even allowed to have a boyfriend, so before soccer practice that night, she nervously pulled her mom, Susan, aside to ask for permission. Susan laughed and said it was fine, and Grace was thrilled. As you might expect, that first “relationship” lasted a solid two months. Still, we stayed best friends all throughout middle school and high school. During senior year, we both, coincidentally, decided to go to the University of Minnesota. We texted a lot that summer, mostly about football games and possibly hanging out at school. It was all meant to be platonic. Then freshman year came around, and Grace invited Liam to her 19th birthday party. From that point on, they were inseparable. Over the holidays, the two baked, saw Christmas lights, and celebrated everything they could together. And on January 10th, 2023, they made it official. Since then, there’s been countless date nights, growing close with each other’s families, moving in together, and—slightly against Liam’s will—adopting two cats, Kona and Paris. Now we have our own little home and our own little family. We’re lucky enough to say we were each other’s first boyfriend and girlfriend… and now we get to say we’re getting married! We couldn’t be more excited, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
