We met on New Year’s Eve, which in hindsight feels very on-brand for us—slightly chaotic, a little last-minute, and way better than expected. My roommate, Aleigh, asked me to go with her to a party she’d been invited to. I agreed, not knowing it would end up being at John’s cousins house. At some point during the night, John came up and introduced himself. He claims it was because I “looked lost" and he was "being a good host," which feels questionable but I guess it worked. We started talking, and just…never stopped. From that night on, we talked every day. The only minor detail was that John was technically still living in Colorado at the time. Totally normal, no big deal. But about a month later, he moved to Wilmington, which made things a lot more convenient for our “talking all the time” situation. What started as a random New Year’s Eve plan turned into us building a life together and now here we are. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!!
