The couple met through Albany High School's National Honor Society annual blood drive, where David & Gracen were both on the planning committee. Following the event, Gracen texted David to ask for his signature on her hours form, even though she turned it in many months earlier. This was just her plotted excuse to start talking to the handsome senior in school. After talking for some time, David finally asked Gracen out and later asked her to his senior prom. And they've been together ever since!

David and Gracen went to Elmaro Vineyard near Winona, MN for "Tom Schneider's retirement party". Little did Gracen know, David had planned to propose. David & Gracen's family helped plan the event- private picnic in the vineyard, cake, photographer, but most importantly keeping the secret from Gracen. She was so surprised!
