One of our favorite summer pastimes is catching a Tampa Bay Rays game, this season they are playing at at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, FL. Whether we're cheering for the home team or soaking up the fun atmosphere, it's always a highlight of our year. And guess what? Make sure to check out St. Pete Beach, one of our favorite spots and a true gem of Florida’s west coast. Whether you're soaking up the sun, dipping your toes in the Gulf, or enjoying the laid-back vibe, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Grand Central District
Colorful, edgy and always welcoming, this is the part of town where the cool kids hang out. It’s the birthplace of St. Pete Pride – which makes sense, because it’s the city’s original gayborhood and a place where Pride flags fly year-round. The LGBTQ+ community is the foundation of this vibrant neighborhood. Whether it’s June (Pride Month) or not, the Grand Central District is always a place where everyone is welcome and celebrated.
St. Petersburg African-American Heritage Trail
The African American Heritage Trail is a self-guided walking tour that provides an overview of the African American influence and history in St. Pete. Covering more than a dozen city blocks in South St. Pete’s downtown area, nineteen markers identify landmarks and provide details about the history of St. Pete’s African American community. The trail is split into two corridors that provide a glimpse into the varied culture of this South St. Pete neighborhood. Both trails begin at the Carter G. Woodson Museum at 2240 9th Ave. S.

Copa is the ultimate downtown St. Pete hangout, offering a laid-back vibe and a menu packed with Afro-Caribbean and Spanish-inspired tapas that are perfect for sharing. This Black-owned gem is the go-to spot for expertly crafted cocktails, indulgent desserts, and relaxing hookah sessions. With its cozy atmosphere and unique flavors, it’s an ideal place to unwind and connect.
