Andrew and I met fall of 2016 in a crowded room of ~30 people at one of the first meetings for a Texas Tech ministry called StuMo. We were both freshmen at the time. Later that year, I ended up riding in a blue minivan all the way to Colorado for a StuMo ski trip with Andrew as the driver. This time, there were only 8 of us. Yet somehow Andrew doesn't quite remember me from either interaction (he will never live this down...). Fast forward 5 years: we've both graduated. I'm living and working in Austin and Andrew is crushing it in dental school at UT Health in Houston. At this point, Andrew knew who I was (we had many more interactions since the blue minivan), yet he and I still wouldn't have considered one another a "friend" quite yet. Coincidentally, my name came up in a few conversations with his buddies and with mutual friends so Andrew, giving into his curiosity and what we see now as a prodding from the Lord, decided to give it a shot and reached out to get to know me better. With a little help from social media, Andrew landed himself a date, drove all the way to Austin, and impressed me with his intentional date idea and lack of hesitation to make the 3-hour trip. After a couple of months of facetimes and fun dates, Andrew and I made it official. Even though we were long distance, we continued to date intentionally and, with much prayer and deliberation, started to both have the feeling that this might be the one. Things really picked up when I packed up and moved to Katy with my sweet Aunt Tish and Uncle Bryan. After a couple of months of living in Houston, we were engaged! We could not be more excited to be married and we give all credit and glory to Him who brought us together in such a special way.
