How We Met

Grace Ann and Joshua had seen each other at church before, but their real introduction happened on an ordinary night that, in hindsight, was anything but random. Her parents’ air conditioner had broken, and Joshua’s uncle, who worked in HVAC, insisted that Joshua go fix it. He agreed, not thinking much of it - just another task, another evening. But God had something much bigger in store. When Joshua arrived, he was focused on the job in front of him, ready to get in and out quickly. But Grace Ann could already sense there was something different about him. It wasn’t just that he was kind or hardworking, though he was both. There was a quiet strength about him, a presence that felt familiar in a way she couldn’t quite explain. After that night, Joshua kept finding reasons to come back. At first, it was to double-check his work, making sure the AC was still running properly. Then, it was little things - small, seemingly insignificant excuses to stop by. But Grace Ann knew, and deep down, so did he. It wasn’t long before their connection became undeniable. There was no need for pretense, no fear of misreading things. What was happening between them wasn’t just chance - it was intentional. God had orchestrated every moment, aligning their paths in a way neither of them could have predicted. Looking back, Grace Ann sees how perfectly timed it all was. If the AC hadn’t broken, if Joshua’s uncle hadn’t sent him, if Joshua had decided not to go, their story might have played out differently. But God’s plans are never random. He is always working, even in the smallest details, even in things as simple as a repair job. From that first night, everything felt natural - not rushed, not forced, just right. It wasn’t about fairy tales or perfect timing; it was about God’s timing. And when He writes the story, there is no doubt, only peace.
