We’re getting married!

In fall of 2022, Grace and Thomas met through mutual friends at the NC Study Center and hit it off. From that point on, they were close friends. About one year later, Thomas let Grace drive the family stick shift to butter her up for a date. So on September 9, 2023, they grabbed coffee at Lanza’s Cafe in Carrboro and have been together ever since then! They’ve been to concerts, stormed Franklin Street, eaten at some of the best spots in Carrboro, and one day will finish watching “Lost.” On April 26, 2025, Thomas managed to half-surprise Grace at Merritt’s Pasture with the help of her housemates for a perfect engagement day. Merritt’s Pasture is a place they would often go and is a significant marker of their time together in Chapel Hill. Even while preparing for marriage, Grace and Thomas are friends first, and can’t wait to be best friends for the rest of their lives.
