We're getting married

We met through the beautiful modern way of our generation, Tinder. Sam decided on a whim after chatting back and forth for a week, to spring upon Gracie with a dinner date on August 28th, 2022. Gracie and Sam first met in the court of Sam's college house, called the Beach, which is important to remember for later. They went on to the Yard in Salem, where they both decided on Birria. How kizmit, from the variety of 25+ food trucks, decide on the same one? They were destined for one another from the beginning... That lovely Sunday date then turned into a Monday date, then a Tuesday, then a Wednesday date. We couldn't spend a second apart from the start. The only thing that broke that streak was Sam's first heart surgery, to which Grace was his first call once he was back home recovering. That same weekend, Gracie was spending time with his college buddies drafting a Fantasy Football team as part of a girls' drafted league; she was already a part of the group and drafted quite well. Upon Sam's arrival back from the airport, his first stop was at Cherry City Interiors to see Gracie at work and ask her out again to Pacific City on the Oregon coast for September 10th, 2022. They got their favorite Habaneros Breakfast Burritos and drove out to the coast and on the beach. Sam asked Gracie to be his girlfriend after an enthusiastic yes, they embraced, and the ocean was so happy for us that it sent a wave up, drenching our burritos and churros. From there on out, they, as Sam said at his Senior Banquet for baseball they were "Glued at the Hip" always being in each other's everyday lives and making many memories through getting to know each other's side of their families of the DuBois and the Dalys. By being #32 biggest supporter on the baseball field. Moving into a new state of California, and then moving back to Oregon to live together alone for the first time in Beaverton. Every obstacle and celebration has only made their love grow stronger and deeper through experiencing everything life has to offer them. Which led them to on Thursday, June 19th driving down to Salem where they first met to spend time with the DuBois family. Driving through the town where they met, had first dates, shared so many memories and reminisced on their journey that got them to where they were in that moment, Sam decided to make a pitstop at the first sight of each other at the Beach House. Sam took Gracie to the spot where they first embraced with a hug after saying hello, and told her how this is where there story began and how brightly his world became when Gracie walked in it. And that now this will be the spot where it will begin the future as husband and wife, as he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of his life with him as Husband and Wife, and to grow their family together. To which she replied yes, and the rest is still to be written at our next milestone moment of our wedding, which we are so excited to have every one of you at, thank you for reading, and can't wait to celebrate with you soon.
