FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be held at Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa, an adults-only escape in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The wedding will be on Friday, March 26th, 2027.

Question

Why are we going to Mexico?

Answer

We've always said we would either elope or do a destination wedding, and honestly, we decided that we would rather spend an entire weekend/week with you all. We're inviting around 60 of our closest friends and family, and we just want a small, intimate, but incredibly fun trip. If it doesn't make sense for your schedules or budgets, please be honest and do what is best for you. We hope everyone can make it, but we understand this is a lot to ask of you all. We promise a good time though :)

Question

How do we book our stay?

Answer

Our destination wedding coordinator Suzanne Pelzer & Escapes.ca will be handling the travel arrangements through the link in the travel tab!

Question

When should we be booked by?

Answer

We're asking all guests to "RSVP" and submit a deposit (100 USD) for their room by August 1st. The final deposit will be due on October 23rd. We are locked into a highly discounted group rate that is much lower than what you would see booking an all-inclusive resort stay on your own. To secure your room, a minimum non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100.00 USD per person is required to secure your room in the block. If you are adding insurance, this cost is also due at the time of booking. All room inventory is on a first-come, first-served basis, but if your desired room is unavailable, reach out to Suzanne through the booking page, and she might be able to work her magic.

Question

How long should we book for?

Answer

Our room block group rates are set for March 22nd - March 29th, 2027, giving you (and your partner) a lot of flexibility. We recommend coming for at least March 25th-28th (Thursday-Sunday). Thursday will be our Welcome Party, and Friday will be the wedding ceremony and reception. If you'd like to extend your stay outside of the group booking, just let Suzanne know! Ryan and Grace will be there from March 22nd-29th and would love to spend time poolside with our favorite people all week long :) Please remember: we want this trip to feel like a vacation for you, too, so book your stay for as long as you want!

Question

What's included with our room?

Answer

An all-inclusive resort bundles your major travel expenses into a single upfront price. We totally get this wedding is a lot to ask, but when you pay for your room, you're also paying for all meals (buffet and on-site restaurants), unlimited drinks all day (including alcohol), on-site entertainment, and more!

Question

What's the average cost per room?

Answer

Our resort is a new opening, and we're lucky to be locked into some of the best room rates for this quality of hotel. If sharing a room with a partner for a three-night stay, expect to spend at least $1,500 total. That includes both people's stay and all of the all-inclusive benefits. The booking page in the travel page has a comprehensive overview.

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party and Wedding?

Answer

The dress code for both is "beach cocktail." Here's a description from "The Knot." Beach cocktail attire is similar to semi-formal beach attire. Men's ties are optional, but still welcome. Linen shirts or pants, but no shorts, please. Women can wear a semi-formal dress, such as a maxi or midi, or a jumpsuit. Vibrant colors and patterns are welcome.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The airport you will be flying into is Cancun International Airport - CUN. It is a 15-minute drive to the resort.

Question

Do I need transportation to the venue?

Answer

Your reservation does not include airport-to-resort transportation. Our destination specialist offers shared airport transportation (which can involve stops) and private transfers (non-stop), both for an additional cost. Lomas is a company that they recommend for transportation services in the area. Ubers are prohibited to pick up from airports, however, they're available to take you back for your return flight.

Question

Question

Answer
