Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park
The Dune Peninsula Park features views of marine life (orcas are known to make appearances), Vashon Island, and the expansive Puget Sound. We'd recommend grabbing an ice cream cone at Ice Cream Social (nearby at Point Ruston) and taking in the scenes of the Ruston Waterfront! Fun fact: The park is named after Frank Herbert's novel "Dune". Frank Herbert was born in Tacoma!
