What should I wear?

Our dress code is semi-formal, which means if you want to wear a fancy dress or tux, please do! If a cocktail dress or suit is more your style, that is wonderful too.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony starts at 3:00 pm. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to allow time to find parking and your seats.

Where do I park for the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony is at Central Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. A parking lot is located directly across the street to the west of the building. Preferred parking for family is east of the building and towards the back (north).

Where can I park for the reception?
Answer
After the ceremony, feel free to park at your hotel and walk over to The Tea Room! All hotels are connected through the DSM Skywalk and not a far jaunt. The 9th and Locust parking garage, as well as the 9th and Mulberry parking garage, are within walking distance of The Tea Room. Rates are $1 per hour (up to $10/day) Monday through Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and free on Sundays. Garages accept credit and debit cards only. Street parking is available as well.

What is the Des Moines Skywalk?
Answer
The DSM Skywalk is an enclosed, climate-controlled walk way that connect hotels, restaurants and event/meeting centers. You can read more about the skywalk here https://www.catchdesmoines.com/plan/transportation/skywalks/ and even print a copy of the map.
