Elephant Mountain offers stunning views of Taipei 101 and the city, and can be easily reached by taking the red line on the subway. We recommend spending one to three hours hiking, depending on how long you'd like to walk. Note there are a lot of stairs and it can get hot during the day, so we recommend hiking in the morning or in the evening for sunset/night views. The beautiful scenery is definitely worth the exercise!

We highly recommend going to one of the many Night Markets for food and shopping in Taipei. Some popular night markets include Linjiang (Tonghua), Ningxia, Shilin, Raohe etc. In the night markets, try some stinky tofu, sweet potato balls, meat sandwiches or "gua bao", dumplings, milk tea, mochi, popcorn chicken and more.
