We met pretty randomly on a night out in Pensacola, FL. I had moved back home to Pensacola after graduating from college, and was starting my career in Public Health. Quinn had decided to join the navy and was sent to Pensacola after boot camp to finish his training. One of my friends from college had also recently joined the navy and was currently training in Pensacola. We were hanging out one night when a random phone call from one of Evan's friends came inviting him to go downtown and said that I should join too. The friend calling was Quinn. We met and all hungout for awhile, but eventually Quinn and I went off that night to do our own thing listening to live music at a local bar and talked all night. We quickly clicked, so Quinn asked for my number. I had a MAJOR blonde moment and accidentally gave him the wrong phone number.... Quinn was convinced I had subtly rejected him, while I was at home freaking out to Evan wondering why this guy hadn't texted me yet. Luckily, Evan was able to give Quinn my CORRECT phone number, and we planned our first date for just a couple days later. We continued going on cute dates, but decided we should keep things casual since Quinn's navy schedule was very unpredictable - we didn't know how much time he had left in Pensacola. Considering you are reading this on our wedding website, it's safe to say that we did not keep things casual. We quickly started to spend every single weekend together, and both made the effort to see each other as much as possible throughout the week - this was not always simple with our drastically different schedules at some points. I think we started to know within a couple months. We knew no matter where the military sent him next that we were going to make this work. Fast forward to now, and we have been very much NOT enjoying our time doing long distance, but making the best of any time we get to spend together. I will say that wedding planning definitely gives us something to focus on during our time apart, and we are sure that we have found the person we want to spend forever with. We can't wait to start our lives together, and for all our loved ones to celebrate together. - Grace Allen
