Nile and Grace’s story began with ROTC. They first crossed paths in class and during early morning PT, but it wasn’t until a casual game night in November 2022 that sparks truly began to fly. Grace remembers laughing with friends that evening when she realized she might have feelings for Nile. Nile insists he’d been interested in Grace for two years already—but to this day, Grace remains unconvinced. After game night, Grace hoped for more chances to talk to Nile. Over Thanksgiving break, he added her on Snapchat—and the rest is history. Their friendship quickly grew into something more, and on January 23, 2023, they officially began dating. Their first year together was full of fun college memories. That December, they both commissioned from ROTC and graduated from the University of Arkansas. Just a month later, life took them on separate but parallel paths. In January 2024, they began long distance—Nile heading to Virginia and Grace to Oklahoma for their respective Basic Officer Leader Courses (BOLC). By spring, Nile had moved to Louisiana to begin his career as an active-duty Army Transportation Officer and "amateur" golfer. Grace returned to Bentonville to serve as a National Guard Field Artillery Officer, work as a Medical Assistant, and apply to Physician Assistant school. The next year and a half was filled with FaceTime calls and road trips to places like Hot Springs and Dallas. On August 8, 2025, Nile asked Grace to marry him. Now, they’re preparing for their next adventure—moving to San Antonio, Texas, where Grace will begin PA school less than a month after the wedding. From college days to long-distance love, from military moves to new beginnings, Nile and Grace’s journey has been one of laughter, resilience, and unwavering support. They can’t wait to celebrate the start of their forever with you.
