Things To Do

Historic Third Ward

Milwaukee, WI 53202

Welcome to our neighborhood! The Third Ward is where Grace and Michael are lucky enough to call home — and we’re so excited for you to experience it. This vibrant, walkable district is full of historic warehouse buildings, cobblestone streets, art galleries, boutique shopping, river views, rooftop patios, and some of our favorite date-night spots. Grab a coffee, wander along Broadway or Water Street, and explore — you truly can’t go wrong here!

Milwaukee Riverwalk

Riverwalk, Milwaukee, WI 53212

The Riverwalk runs right through the Third Ward and downtown, and it’s truly one of the reasons we love living here so much. This is where we go for evening walks, weekend coffee strolls, and post-dinner sunsets. The path winds along the Milwaukee River, connecting restaurants, patios, public art, and scenic overlooks. You’ll cross charming pedestrian bridges, pass kayakers and boaters, and find plenty of spots to stop for a drink or bite along the way.

Deer District

1134 North Vel R. Phillips Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203

Located downtown and home to the Milwaukee Bucks, there are plenty of great restaurants and bars, plus outdoor spaces that are perfect for gathering. Whether you’re catching a game or just exploring before or after the festivities, it’s a fun way to experience Milwaukee while you’re in town celebrating with us!

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

If you’re exploring the Historic Third Ward, make sure to stop by the Milwaukee Public Market! This is one of our favorite spots to grab a coffee, walk around, and sample a little bit of everything. You’ll find local vendors offering everything from fresh seafood and sandwiches to baked goods and sweet treats. It’s perfect for a casual lunch, a quick snack between wedding events, or just soaking in the charm of Milwaukee while you’re in town celebrating with us!

Milwaukee Art Museum

700 North Art Museum Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

A true Milwaukee landmark, the Milwaukee Art Museum is absolutely worth a visit while you’re in town! Located right on the lakefront, it’s known for its stunning architecture (those iconic “wings” are even more beautiful in person). Inside, you’ll find an impressive collection of art spanning a variety of styles and time periods—but even if you’re not planning a full museum visit, the lake views alone make it a special stop. It’s a perfect spot for a morning stroll, a little culture, and some great photo ops during the wedding weekend!

Eat

Onesto One of our favorite spots for Italian in the Third Ward! Great pasta, cozy atmosphere, and perfect for a group dinner. Cafe Benelux A fun, lively spot right in the heart of the neighborhood with a rooftop and a huge menu — great for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The Wicked Hop A go-to brunch spot with something for everyone. Casual, lively, and always a good time. Swingin' Door Exchange A classic Milwaukee tavern with amazing comfort food — a great spot for a cozy meal. Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria Fun, energetic, and right on the river! Great tacos, margaritas, and a perfect group-friendly vibe. Grace Coffee Co. A must for your morning caffeine fix! Beautiful space, great coffee, and the perfect spot to start your day before the festivities.

Drink

The Outsider A rooftop bar with incredible city views — such a fun place to start (or end!) the night. Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge A Milwaukee classic and one of our favorite things we’ve done together! There’s no menu — you simply tell the bartender what flavors or spirits you like, and they create something just for you. They’re famous for their rolodex of 500+ cocktail recipes, and rumor has it an NDA is required to work there to protect those secret creations. They’re also known for the iconic Pink Squirrel — a true Milwaukee staple. A MUST do while you're in town! Camp Bar Third Ward A true Wisconsin experience — think cozy cabin vibes and fun cocktails. Lakefront Brewery Beer Hall If you want a classic Milwaukee brewery experience, this is a must! Mo's Irish Pub We used to live above the bar and spent a lot of time there, so it holds a special place in our story
