Parking at the chapel is limited. We recommend carpooling with others as much as possible. There are three lots directly across from the chapel; however, it is possible they will fill up on a nice day. In the event that you cannot find parking at the chapel, there are plenty of spaces available at the visitor center, which is just up the road. We will happily shuttle people from the visitor center to the chapel, if necessary. The picnic pavilion, where we will be having dinner, has plenty of parking spaces. It is also only a short drive from there to the chapel. You are welcome to park there and carpool to the ceremony.
The chapel does not have bathroom facilities. There are Porta-Johns in the parking area, but we recommend using the bathrooms at the visitor center beforehand. They are very nice and clean. The visitor center is on the way to the ceremony from the main road. There are bathroom facilities directly across the parking lot from the picnic pavilion area where we will be having dinner.
Getting into Hickory Run State Park will not be an issue. However, there is limited cell service within the park. All three key locations are close to one another so you will not need to navigate very far without service. There is clear signage to guide you to the pavilion on Sand Spring Lake (follow signs that say "Pavilion"). The chapel is along the Shades of Death Trail, a little past the picnic area. We recommend having saved pictures of the maps provided in the "Gallery" to help guide you, if you feel you've lost your way a bit. The visitor center is also very easy to find, and the rangers there will happily assist you.

As this is a state park, there is no smoking allowed, and alcohol is not permitted in most areas of the park, including the picnic pavilion. We will enjoy drinks later that evening in the charming downtown of Jim Thorpe.
