Through DanceBlue at UK! Thanks to their friend Sophia, Grace slid into Matt’s DMs and the rest is history. A “group sunrise” turned out to be a setup for Grace and Matt to spend more time together in a smaller DanceBlue group. Not long after, Grace texted Matt a happy 19th birthday, and both of them knew pretty quickly this was the start of something special.

Their first real date was ice cream at Crank & Boom, perfect for Grace and her serious sweet tooth. Between sweet treats, laughter, and late-night talks, they realized fast that this was more than just a college fling.

After just a month of dating, Matt asked Grace to be his girlfriend at High Bridge. From that day forward it was road trips, late nights, long-distance summers, and countless drives between Louisville and Lexington, all proving that love only grows stronger when it’s the real thing.

Matt had Grace convinced they were off to a bourbon event with his parents, but instead he got down on one knee at Oxmoor Farms. Grace may not have been completely surprised, but her answer was pure joy: yes, forever.

From that first DM to today, Matt and Grace have been each other’s best friend, adventure buddy, and biggest supporter. They are ready for a future filled with kids, travel, faith, and plenty of laughter, writing the rest of their story side by side.
