Mark and Grace met at a bar in West Allis called Paulie's while out with some mutual friends. Mark had seen Grace walk in but never said a word to her. It wasn't until the next bar when Grace had went in between Mark and his friend and ordered a captain and coke. That is exactly what Mark was drinking and sparked a conversation between the two of them. Mark and Grace had talked until bar close and realized that they didn't want the night to end. They ended up sitting in the car till 5:30am talking and getting to know each other. During that conversation Grace had convinced Mark to come and work state fair with her for 11 days. From that day forward they never left each others side.
Remember when they met they were both out with mutual friends. Well Mark and Grace had been living in the house of the owners who they worked for at state fair. They had been out of the house for a couple months. Mark picked up the ring and had to find a reason to go and talk to Grace's parents. Mark had ripped his pants at work that day and was a perfect excuse to go over to her parents house and get their blessing. They sat and talked about how he was going to propose. They came up with the idea of proposing back at the house that they lived in. Coincidentally Grace had a hair appointment the next day. Mark had to convince Grace to go get dinner after her appointment but had to make a stop at the house to look for something. This is where Mark had walked in the backdoor where Grace was following him to see roses, champagne and the ring all sitting on the table. Mark had gotten down on one knee to propose where Grace obviously said YES. Grace's mom and brother were on the stairs recording it where they could not be seen. The owners of the house also watched this live on the camera and were able to record the proposal.
