My first date with Grace was right out of a storybook. We were going to get coffee and sit down and get to know each other. The hope of everything going to plan was immediately derailed as I couldn’t get my hazelnut latte from the coffee shop. Fortunately, the next few hours flew by and I got to meet an amazing person. After that, all I wanted to do was go on a second date, but she decided to go on vacation and test my patience. When she got back we had a great second date and I knew that this was something special. Our early conversations had often been about baseball and our third date was at the Orioles game. That night we had our first kiss and I almost caught a homerun ball by her favorite player (seconds after she said he would hit it at us). That night I knew she was the one and I would do whatever it took to make it happen. Fortunately she felt the same and soon we were dating. The night I proposed I got the same feeling as the night I kissed her for the first time, the timing was perfect and so is Grace.

Kenton and I matched on Coffee meets Bagel. For our first date, we grabbed coffee in the inner harbor area and got to walking and talking. Three hours flew by and we decided to call it a day because our parking meters were running up. After hugging and saying bye, all I could think to myself is "please text me for a second date!" and he did! The second date had to be pushed back a week because I had planned a trip to LA. I was a little worried he would go on another date with another match while I was gone, but that didn't happen! (Fun fact: I learned down the line that he actually did have a date lined up when I was out of town, but he got sick the day before and had to cancel!) We texted throughout my whole trip and decided to go on our second date the day I landed back in Maryland. Now, the second date is where we had our little ice breaker... unintentionally. We went to play some mini golf and just had some more time getting to know each other. I decided to go to Angie's house after the date because it was nearby. When I got to Angie's, I got a text from Kenton saying he had a good time AND that he couldn't find it in himself to tell me I had a piece of lettuce stuck in my teeth throughout the whole date! I collapsed on the floor and had a pity party by myself while Angie and everyone else in the house laughed at me. After that little embarrassing moment, my walls came down a bit and I felt more and more comfortable around him. He started to meet my friends and family and they got to see how amazing of a guy I snagged. (I say I snagged him because I was his first match on the dating app when he got to Maryland!) My love for him kept growing as each day passed! From day one, I couldn't believe the kind of man that walked into my life; and I am still in awe, every day, because of his words and actions. I cannot believe I found my forever through a dating app, but here we are! I cannot wait to marry my best friend!
