We went to the same school but didn't meet until after he graduated. He tried to contact me, but I denied him... Until two of my best friends convinced me he is a good guy for me. Turns out they were very right, I decided after talking with him I wanted to meet him. The problem was that he moved to North Carolina, but to him the distance was no problem at all. Two times a month he would drive to Pennsylvania to pick me up from school. We still wanted to be closer to each other, so he moved back with his family in New Jersey. As the years went by, we knew it was time for our next chapter. He decided to get a place of his own four minutes down the road from me! A perfect little apartment that we can soon call home until we buy a home of our own!
Justin and I had a date at Longwood Gardens which is nothing out of the ordinary for us. We got inside the park when he said he wanted to save the decorated path for last. That is exactly what we did, we walked around the park for an hour or so until it was time to walk the pretty path. Turns out this path led to a lit-up cathedral treehouse. We went inside to take pictures, then I turned around and saw his and my family. At this point I knew all I had to do was turn around and... I couldn't believe it. This moment we have been wanting for a long time was finally happening. So of course, I responded with "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" followed by a "YES!" God had implemented many little details that made this proposal all the more perfect. The tickets for Christmas Eve were all sold out, but Longwood still let our families come to surprise me. On top of that there was a professional photographer that just so happened to capture the moment and then came into the treehouse to take more pictures of all of us. (We hired him to be our photographer for the wedding!) I couldn't ask for a more beautiful proposal, I am looking forward to the rest of my life with the man behind it all.
