Colonial Williamsburg is the world’s largest living history museum. 300 acres feature iconic sites, working tradespeople, historic taverns, and two world-class art museums. Admission ticket is key to the Historic Area, where costumed interpreters will provide guided tours of some of the iconic sites, including the Capitol, Governor's Palace, and Courthouse. Additionally sites and trade shops may be open, with tradespeople working and sharing their crafts in workspaces, gardens, and yards.

See where American independence was won! Here on October 19, 1781, British forces under Lord Charles Cornwallis surrendered to the combined American and French armies led by General George Washington. Check out the orientation film and museum exhibits. A guided walking tour of the battlefield and 18th-century town is available. Drive through the battlefield and see the numerous fortifications and cannons; the Moore House, scene of surrender negotiations; and Surrender Field, among other sites. Stroll through the historic town in the Yorktown, including the Nelson House, home to a signer of the Declaration of Independence; and the Yorktown Victory Monument.

In 1608, glassmaking, America’s first English industry, began in Jamestown, Virginia. Today, costumed craftsmen, using tools and techniques similar to those used centuries ago, blow one-of-a-kind period reproductions and contemporary pieces. Only green glass is blown at the Glasshouse, but other colors are blown at an off-site location.

Its taproom has 16 taps for the widest variety of Alewerks beers available anywhere. Growler fills are available, as well as flights and pints.
