Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive early and be seated by 3:15. Parents and grandparents will be seated at 3:20, with the processional beginning promptly at 3:30. There will be a church service that evening, so we need to allow them to set up after our wedding ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Semi-formal, cocktail, or dressy casual is welcome.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking available at the church for the ceremony. Construction is underway on the south side of the church, but there is parking all around. For the reception, there are fifty open spots available on the east side of the building. Once those are full, we have covered parking expenses at the Nationwide Parking Ramp at 1100 Walnut St, Des Moines, IA 50309. You will need to pick up a validation ticket from our reception venue!

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We have reserved a hotel block of 20 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Des Moines Downtown by IHG (333 SW 11th St, Des Moines, IA 50309). Use the code NPW to book a room or contact Grace or Josh for the booking link. All reservations must be made by September 24, 2026. Hotel check-in time is 3:00 pm, and check-out is noon.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the reception?

Answer

There is a free shuttle from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Des Moines Downtown by IHG for guests who reserve a room in our hotel block.
