There are lot’s of beautiful hikes in and around Ketchum. Here are a few of our favorites near town: Adam’s Gulch White Clouds Proctor Mountain Fox Creek If you’re looking for a little more adventure, there are lot’s of gorgeous hikes to high alpine lakes a short drive north out of Ketchum. We’d recommend checking out these: Titus Lake Alice Lake Baker Lake
One of our favorite activities to do together when we are in Ketchum. Here are some of our favorite trails: White Clouds: Centrally located with great options for beginners and moderate biking. Adam’s Gulch Trailhead: Plenty of hiking and biking options. Our favorite is Sunnyside and Forbidden Fruit. Fisher Creek: A bit more advanced and a half day adventure, this awesome trail has a spectacular downhill section and beautiful 40 minute drive up north out of Ketchum.
Galena Lodge: About 30 minutes north of Ketchum, Galena Lodge offers plenty of beautiful trails for hiking and biking. The lodge also has delicious food. Redfish Lake and a day trip to Stanley: Enjoy the scenic drive with views of the Sawtooths about an hour north of Ketchum. We recommend getting breakfast or lunch at the Stanley bakery and enjoying the lake after. Lot’s of hiking trails and boat rentals available as well. Flyfishing: Book a half or full day adventure through Silvercreek Outfitters. Whitewater Rafting: Check out the day stretch of the Salmon River through one of the local guiding companies. We recommend White Otter or Sawtooth Adventures. Golfing: Check out the course at Sun Valley Resort.
FOR LUNCH: Johnny G’s Subshack: An all time favorite, especially after a mountain bike ride. We recommend the number one and a cold Coors. Lefty’s and Grumpy’s: Both are classic Ketchum staples with burgers, cold beers, and great patios. FOR DINNER: Rickshaw: The best Southeast Asian street food you’ll ever have! Walk ins only so we recommend putting your name on the list early and enjoying a drink on the patio beforehand. The Pioneer Saloon: An iconic Ketchum staple serving up steaks, baked potatoes in a western setting. Check out Grace’s mom’s beef, Hyndman Beef, on the dinner menu! Walk ins only. Limelight Hotel: Great spot to grab pizzas while you enjoy the lovely outdoor patio which often has live music on the weekends.
Warfield Distillery and Brewery: Great rooftop deck with beautiful views. The Duchin Room: Part of the Sun Valley Lodge’s lobby, enjoy a cocktail in this elevated space while enjoying the piano player. The Cellar: Perfect for a night out. The best bar in town. The Casino: Old dive bar with cheap beer and pool tables.
