We met in Tampa, Florida, in 2016 when we started our first real jobs on the same day. What began as casual camaraderie between coworkers slowly, and deliciously, grew into something more thanks largely to Jeremy’s homemade fried rice. Each afternoon Jeremy unpacked that fried rice, and Grace immediately slid into the seat beside him, obsessed with the food. She would ask, “Are you going to finish that?” and he always handed over the rest. Jeremy was still hungry, but he liked her too much to say no, and we were both clueless about the crush taking shape right in front of us. Outside of work our friendship blossomed. A highlight of every week was Grace’s grocery trip to Publix, not because she loved the store (though the subs are great) but because it meant an hour-long phone call with Jeremy. Together we roamed the aisles discussing what to buy, what to cook, and everything in between. Those calls were never just about recipes; we simply loved talking to each other. Somewhere between shared lunches, farmers-market weekends, and spirited grocery-aisle debates, something shifted. Less than a year later we took a leap and moved in together in New York City. Since then we’ve built a life full of love, growth, inside jokes, homemade sourdough feedings, late-night snacks, an endless quest to try every great restaurant we can find and all the little details that make "us" who we are. Now we cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you.
