Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding mass begins promptly at 3pm. Please be in your seat by 2:45pm. Late entries will not be permitted when doors are closed.

When should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Immediately following mass, guests should begin traveling to the Tacoma Country and Golf Club for the reception. It is about a 15-20 minute drive. Ride sharing is encouraged. Cocktail hour will begin immediately as guests arrive.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Please wear your best formal attire, black tie is optional. For men, suits and sport coats are encouraged. No denim is permitted. For women, formal dresses, vibrant colors, patterns are welcome. Ladies, this is your opportunity to wear a bright, floor length dress!

Kids are welcome during mass!

Please note that Saint Patrick Catholic Church does not have a cry room. Little ones are welcome in the church for the entire ceremony, and the narthex area is available for those who need to step out.

I am not Catholic -- What do I expect at a wedding mass?

Answer

The wedding mass ceremony is attended by all guests, just as any other secular or religious wedding ceremony. We will provide programs that explain the elements of the wedding mass in both Spanish and English. Please join for all audience participation elements as noted in the programs. Please sing! Additionally, please note that non-Catholic guests are invited to process during communion to receive a blessing. We invite all practicing Catholic guests to participate in the Eucharist.
