This is a western style Wedding, so prepare for the chance of getting dirty, or getting slobbered on by the cows. Boots jeans, hats. Or even country chic.

The beginning of us

I noticed a very handsome man constantly popping up on my social media. I didn’t take much notice to it until one day he was the first person to love a photo I had put up of the mountains talking about how God does created this beautiful life, and once again did I notice Hunter making his mark on it. I decided to follow him back and once I caught a glimpse of him I was obsessed. Something about him just stirred in my head and so I decided to message him as the bold person I am. If I remember correctly, it went something along the lines of, “I don’t know who you are, but what I do know if you are the most handsome man I have ever seen.” After that we followed up with small talk and ended up going on and on about our faith and morals. We were a match made in heaven. A few weeks later I had been back to Oregon for Christmas and him and I had planned a camping date. The day prior he sent me flowers and when those flowers arrived I had butterflies, knowing that he was unlike any man I had ever met. As we ventured off on our date up the mountains, I sang to him and he sang to me, along with tons of laughs. I could tell he was nervous so I grabbed his hand and poked fun in hopes he would relax and ultimately he did. Once we got up the mountain we started set up camp and he asked if I wanted to do some trap shooting. I agreed and felt a little nervous knowing that this was his hobby, and praying that I didn’t embarrass myself. I of course, let him go first, throwing one pigeon after the other, he did not fail to impress me. Of course, he hit every single one. He then set me up, ready to go, and I could only laugh because I was so nervous after he had just baffled me with his skills. The clay flying through the air I shot it watching it explode, as I turned to look at him and ask if he saw it I saw nothing but straight fear in his face. I couldn’t help, but Laugh. If you were to ask him, he would say I had the shotgun pointed straight out his chest, but if you asked me, it was pointed at the ground. I doubled over in laughter, unable to see because of the tears in my eyes, when I stood up and turned to look at him, he was stood back by the truck behind the door, laughing and cowering, believing that this was the day he was going to die. I set the gun down because I was laughing so hard, and asked him what he was doing. When he walks back over, he said that he didn’t think he would ever be so scared in his life until this moment. To me that is the moment he knew he wanted to marry me, I mean, how else would you know. You go into the woods with a woman and she almost shoots you? True love if you ask me. That is a story that has been told to many people who know us and it gets a good laugh out of everyone. As the evening progressed, he cooked me dinner. We sat around the campfire telling stories and sharing her favorite whiskey. We danced to romantic songs, and laughed a ton. At some point in the night I was talking about s’mores and how much I love them, and he followed up with how he loved me. He felt very embarrassed at the time, but I thought it was beyond Sweet and was so happy that he trusted me so much in that moment. I can sit here and tell you guys how magical the evening was, but it will never truly amount to the way we felt that night. That was the foundation of us. It truly set the tone for the love and admiration that is shown throughout our relationship.
