Their story began at CBU, where they first crossed paths as university athletes. Grace was a junior, and Harrison was in his very last semester, so they'd seen each other around campus, but it wasn’t until a few casual encounters that things truly clicked. It all started with Harrison making jokes about how short Grace was whenever he’d see her. Looking back, it was pretty clear that it was less about the jokes and more about an excuse for him to talk to her. (And let’s be honest, she totally noticed!) After a handful of these playful exchanges, Grace decided to make the next move. One night, she invited Harrison and his friends over to her apartment for some shots. Grace and her roommates had just turned 21 and were definitely enjoying their new-found freedom. Of course, it was a little risky—breaking a few rules here and there—but what’s college without a little adventure? That night was when everything changed. Harrison came over with his friends, and there was instant chemistry between the two of them. The conversation flowed easily, and as the night went on, they discovered how much they had in common—both born in December, raised Catholic, and even celebrated their birthdays at the same Shogun in LaVerne. Who would’ve guessed? From that night forward, they started to get to know each other more and built a strong friendship. And as the months passed, that friendship turned into something more. Harrison took Grace out on a date, and by the end of the night, he was so sure of what he felt that he called his mom and told her, “I’m going to marry Grace.” And now, here they are, ready to spend the rest of their lives together. It’s amazing how a simple joke and a spontaneous night could lead to this beautiful journey. They're beyond excited to continue building their life together—starting with this next chapter, their wedding day.
