Garrett and I were both born in the Houston area. While I stayed in Texas my whole life, the Moore family's path led them to Virginia for most of Garrett's childhood. After college at UPenn, Garrett felt compelled to return to his Texas roots to attend the University of Houston Law Center in 2013. Following in my father's footsteps, I also started law school at UHLC the same year as Garrett. Though our paths did cross several times during our three years there, it wasn't until we had been working together for a year as prosecutors at the Harris County District Attorney's Office that in December of 2017 we went on our first date. Neither of us has looked back since!
