Our first trip down the aisle came May 21, 2022, when we were paired together in the wedding party for our friends Coby and Kelsy. They suspected we might be a perfect match....they may have been right! Throughout the summer and fall of 2022, we took turns travelling to and from Kansas City and Quincy getting to know each other, our families and our friends. By January 2023, we could see a future together and plans were put into motion for Grace's move to Kansas City, which took place on Super Bowl Sunday!

With the help of my parents and sisters, Dekhar surprised me with a proposal during a family vacation to the beach near Destin, FL. Then we were both surprised with a post-proposal dinner to celebrate our engagement. It was so fun to call and FaceTime family and friends back home to spread the news!!!
