It was 2013 when Grace and David first crossed paths at an Indian restaurant. They were both given a meal ticket at Freshman orientation to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant of their choosing. Grace saw Indian food as an option and knew right away that was the meal she wanted! Even though pizza is one of Grace’s favorite foods, she knew Pennsylvania pizza wouldn’t be the same, so Indian food was the obvious choice, it was after all a family treat. On the other hand, David had never tried Indian food and was eager to try something new. Neither of them would have thought that that decision would place them across the table from the person they would end up marrying. The following years they got to really know each other through long hours studying together and going to Lehigh events. Their friendship sparked into a relationship in 2016 when David took her to the roof of Packard and asked her out while “Love Story” played in the background. So it was only natural that in the Fall of 2020 David brought Grace back to the place where it all began to propose while playing “Love Story” on his guitar. On May 14th, 2021 we got married! Covid changed our original plans, but we are so excited to celebrate our Marriage with our loved ones this fall.

Fue en 2013 cuando Grace y David se cruzaron por primera vez en un restaurante indio. Ambos recibieron un boleto de comida en la orientación de primer año para disfrutar de una cena en un restaurante local de su elección. ¡Grace vio la comida india como una opción y supo de inmediato que era la comida que quería! Aunque la pizza es una de las comidas favoritas de Grace, sabía que la pizza de Pensilvania no sería lo mismo, por lo cual la comida india era la opción obvia. Por el otro lado, David nunca había probado la comida india y estaba ansioso por probar algo nuevo. Ninguno de los dos habría pensado que esa decisión los colocaría justo al otro lado de la mesa de la persona con la que terminarían casándose. Los años siguientes llegaron a conocerse realmente a través de largas horas estudiando juntos y asistiendo a eventos de la Universidad Lehigh. Su amistad se convirtió en una relación en 2016 cuando David la llevó a la azotea de Packard y la invitó a salir mientras "Love Story" sonaba de fondo. Entonces, era natural que en el otoño de 2020, David trajera a Grace de vuelta al lugar donde todo comenzó a proponer matrimonio mientras tocaba "Love Story" en su guitarra. ¡El 14 de mayo de 2021 nos casamos! Covid cambió nuestros planes originales, pero estamos muy emocionados de celebrar nuestro Matrimonio con nuestros seres queridos este otoño.
