WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!

We met on OKCupid.com! I had on my profile that my favorite movie is Cooley High...so he messaged me and said his Mom went to Cooley High! We sent a few messages back and forth...that led to a phone call. After our first phone call, we talked everyday for about a week. Then we decided to meet in person. I was hoping the conversation would be a good in person as it was over the phone...and it was...somewhat. LOL A few more dates later and I said to him, I didn't think you liked me at first. He said, well I thought you would have "dressed to impress" but you looked like you just got off work...Umm...I did LOL Here we are 5 years later....YEAH

So Darrell says to me on a Monday after work...."let's go get something to eat". I'm like OK...so I'm thinking we are going down the street to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants so I didn't change out of my commuting gym shoes. We are heading into the city, so now I'm thinking we are going to our #1 Mexican restaurant. But we keep going...so I see we are in the Loop now and I say "where are we going"? "I should have changed my shoes". We pull up in front of Steak 48, a very nice restaurant and I'm really thinking about my shoes now...LOL The valet is taking the car and Darrell stops him to get a bag out of the backseat. I said..."Ooo, I'm getting a gift today'? He says..."Something like that"...… We are finally seated at a nice table next to a table of Japanese business men. After looking at the menu for a while, Darrell takes his phone and props it up on the table. I'm thinking ..what is he doing? He pulls the box out of the bag and gets on one knee!! I'm completely in SHOCK. He asks..."Will you marry me'? I know I sat there for a few seconds because it was a total surprise and with the kind of ring I wanted ….a beautiful Morganite! I said YES!!! What a way to start a week......and we proceed to have one of the best meals we've ever eaten.
