Rocky Mountain National Park

1000 Beaver Meadows Road, Estes Park, CO 80517

Just minutes from town, RMNP is worth at least a few hours. Enter through the Beaver Meadows Entrance on Highway 36, then turn left onto Bear Lake Road. A 1-day vehicle pass costs $30 — no reservation needed in April. Bear Lake Loop (~25 min) — An easy 0.6-mile flat loop with stunning Continental Divide views. Dream & Emerald Lakes (~25 min, same trailhead) — A 3.6-mile round trip through three gorgeous alpine lakes. Allow 2–3 hours. Sprague Lake (~15–20 min) — A flat, wheelchair-accessible 0.5-mile loop with great mountain views and benches throughout.
