We originally worked together at 123 Home Care in Los Angeles, but didn't really talk to each other. Grace then moved to Austin for work in May of 2019. Soon after, Cristal visited Austin on a work trip, and we spent every day together during her visit. As we got to know each other, we realized we shared a lot of the same values, interests, & goals. It was a plus that we enjoyed the same food & could split anything on a menu! At the end of her visit it was hard to say goodbye, but a few weeks later Cristal took the leap of faith to move to Austin & the rest is history.

Grace wanted to propose for over a year, but was really overthinking it. It didn't help that Cristal is hard to surprise! Then, we booked a fall glamping trip to Traverse City, which seemed like the perfect place, surrounded by nature. We spent the day hiking & visiting a winery, then in the evening we cozied up around the fire to eat dinner. Grace snuck inside to set up photos, lights, & flowers, then when Cristal came inside, Grace got down on a knee & popped the question.
