The Brewed is our favorite coffee and tea spot, with a fun horror-themed vibe and amazing drinks. It’s also connected to Bric-A-Brac, where you can find vintage VHS tapes, records, and other unique treasures. Be sure to snap a photo in their photo booth while you're there!
For a no-nonsense Chicago dog, Red Hot Ranch is our favorite spot. They keep it simple with the classic dog and all the right toppings, plus some great fries on the side. It’s cash-only, but totally worth it for a true Chicago experience. Definitely a must-try if you're looking for an authentic bite!
Middle Brow Beer Co. is our go-to spot for pizza in Logan Square. The wood-fired pizzas with tangy sourdough crust are simply unbeatable, and the casual vibe makes it perfect for a relaxed night out. Enjoy craft beers, natural wines, and live folk music while you dig into the best pizza in the city. It's our favorite, hands down.
One of our favorite spots for a fancier date night, Mano a Mano offers a cozy, reservation-only atmosphere with delicious contemporary Italian dishes. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a special evening. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
Go Tavern, just steps from Scofflaw, is our favorite dive bar. With its no-frills, laid-back vibe and fun patio, it’s the perfect place to grab a casual drink and unwind. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can order the "Chicago handshake"—a shot of Malort followed by an Old Style. Nothing says “Chicago” like a drink that’ll make you question your life choices, followed by a beer that makes you forget them.
Scofflaw is a stylish cocktail bar where we signed our first apartment lease together with our landlord. With its upscale vibe and expertly crafted cocktails, it’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or a night out. The intimate, sophisticated atmosphere makes it one of our favorite places to celebrate life’s big moments—like starting our new chapter in our very first apartment.
The Wendella Architecture Tour is what we always recommend to people visiting Chicago. It’s a great mix of amazing views and interesting stories about the city’s iconic buildings. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have lived here forever, it’s such a fun way to see the city from a new perspective. We can’t recommend it enough!
One of Grace’s go-to spots, Lost Girls Vintage, is a treasure trove of unique finds and timeless pieces. This shop is all about supporting small businesses and celebrating sustainable fashion. Plus, right next door is LuvSick Plus, another fantastic boutique offering trendy and size-inclusive pieces. Whether you’re hunting for a statement outfit, vintage accessories, or just love exploring local gems, this duo of shops is a must-visit while you’re in town!
Graveface Records is Coty’s go-to spot for digging through vinyl, and it has a spooky vibe that makes it stand out. They’ve got a solid selection of new and used records, plus VHS tapes for those who still love that retro feel. On top of that, they house the GRAVEFACE MUSEUM, a quirky, eerie space dedicated to the weird and wonderful. If you’re into music, vintage finds, and a bit of creepy charm, it’s definitely worth checking out while you’re in town.
