Grace and Abby met in the fall of 2020 during their freshman year at Cornerstone University. It was a tough transition for them both, but having each other made all the difference. They basically had nonstop sleepovers—Abby had a nightmare of a roommate, while Grace lucked out with a gem, so Abby ended up spending most nights in Grace’s room. They bonded over their shared hatred of math (and shed a few tears thanks to their professor). Between classes, they’d grab coffee at Biggby, and Grace proudly introduced Abby to Dunkin’. Even after Grace transferred at the end of their freshman year, the two stayed close. Despite the three-hour distance, they never stopped making the effort to be part of each other’s lives.

Even now, it feels like they’re still those kids, effortlessly in sync, just like back on the field. Through all of life’s ups and downs, their bond has only grown stronger, filled with shared memories and laughter.
