It all started in high school, where fate (or alphabetical order) sat us next to each other in Spanish class. We were two new kids who happened to be in the same friend group and immediately hit it off. We had our first date on October 9, 2017 where we went to dinner and walked the beach. I will always remember how I felt on the drive home after we made things ‘official,’ I just stared at Brayden in awe, knowing that I had found my person. If we could have gotten married at 15 and 17, we would’ve! But this was only the beginning of our story together. After high school, Brayden stayed in Panama City to play baseball for Gulf Coast, while I finished my senior year at Mosley before joining him there. Then, in a moment that still makes us laugh, Brayden got a call from the University of Alabama to come pitch for their baseball team. It was funny because I had always joked, “Can you just get offered by Alabama already?”—it was my dream school, and playing in the SEC was his. The Lord heard both of our prayers, giving Brayden the opportunity to play at a big University while I got to experience college and sorority life at one of the best places for it! Those two years in Tuscaloosa were some of our favorite times together. Moving to a new city was both exciting and overwhelming, but we leaned on each other and grew so much through the experience. The friendships we made there were some of the best blessings, including a few people who will stand by our sides on our wedding day. We will hold these years near to our heart knowing they truly shaped us into who we are today. In 2023, we both graduated from Alabama and left Tuscaloosa behind, ready to take on the next chapter. Since then, life has been a whirlwind in the best way. Brayden proposed on November 22, 2023, and we bought our first home in August 2024. We’ve been navigating careers, wedding planning, and simply enjoying this season of life—growing together and learning more about each other every day. Now, on our eight-year anniversary, we’re saying “I do,” October 9, 2025. This day has always been so special to us, and it is going to be surreal to see everything come full circle. We know the Lord’s hand has been on our lives since day one and couldn’t be more grateful and excited for you to celebrate our love with us!
