Andy and Brandt first crossed paths in a calculus course at the University of Washington around 2005. Throughout their undergraduate years, they bonded over shared passions for space exploration, science, and music. After graduation, their friendship deepened through video games, annual visits, and travels across the globe. One of Brandt's most cherished memories with Andy is from those late study nights at UW, where Andy introduced him to the timeless sounds of Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix, leaving a lasting impression on both their lives.

Ailsa met Grace through her brother, Tom. Over the last three years, Grace and Ailsa have gotten to know each other when visiting Grace and Thomas's family in the Boston area. They have also been fortunate enough to go on fun trips to France and Greece. Ailsa is extremely excited to see Grace start the next chapter of her life with Brandt.

Brandt was introduced to Sean during their regular pilgrimages to visit Andy. Whether Andy was graduating from Officer's School at Fort Benning, Georgia, embarking on a mission to see the bats of Carlsbad Caverns while stationed in El Paso, Texas, or marrying the love of his life, Dyna, in Gabon, Africa, Sean and Brandt were always by his side. Together, the trio of Sean, Andy, and Brandt has formed an unbreakable bond, one that will endure through life's challenges and triumphs for many years to come.

Casey and Grace have been friends since high school and have been lucky enough to see each other through many life phases. They met trying out for the high school soccer team and spent a year as roommates after college.

Rian is Brandt's only brother, and the two share a lifelong bond forged in the rugged landscapes of southeastern Idaho. Growing up, they spent countless hours together in Boy Scouts, skiing at Pebble Creek, and hiking the Palisades Reservoir. Today, their connection remains strong, with regular visits and shared adventures—most recently training for and completing their first half marathon together.

Grace and Jenn met while working a nursing job together and bonded over the trials of the COVID pandemic. They have become very dear friends and can't imagine going through the adventure of life without one another.

In the early months of COVID, Kurt and Brandt crossed paths in a chemistry lab in West Cambridge. During this time, they bonded over long discussions, commiserations, and occasional procrastination, diving into debates about science, politics, and philosophy. Their connection grew stronger as they shared a passion for running, frequently circling Fresh Pond together. Today, they continue their runs around the Charles River after work, maintaining their friendship and love for spirited debate.
