FAQs

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to Grace or David!
Question

Where/how do I RSVP?

Answer

Right here on our website. Under the tab 'RSVP' you will find a prompt to help you fill out the online RSVP! It will be available once invitations are sent out.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 20th!

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venue? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be at Haywood Hall in downtown Raleigh! The address is 211 New Bern Place, Raleigh NC 27601. The venue is wheelchair accessible from the back entrance on East Edenton Street (You can enter the back entrance into maps as 217 E Edenton Street, Raleigh NC 27601).

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

It would be best to Uber as there is limited parking at the venue. The venue is approximately 1/2 to 1 and a 1/2 miles from each hotel block. Ubers are very common in downtown Raleigh so it is very easy to get a ride to and from places in just minutes!

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

There is a parking lot behind Haywood Hall that is free to the public on weekends. The parking lot is called public lot 20, located at 227 E Edenton Street, Raleigh NC 27601. The entrance to the parking lot is located both on E Edenton St and N Person St. It is hard to predict how many spaces will be available, so we suggest ubering!

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be primarily outside for both the ceremony and reception. There will be restrooms available inside the house, and the guests will be able to explore the house throughout the night.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Black tie optional! This is a mix of black tie and formal fashion! For the men, don't feel obligated to wear a tux, a suit is a great option as well. For the women, any floor length dress is a great option.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes, please refer to the 'Travel' tab on our website. The links to book a room at the discounted rate are located there! We have also included recommendations on where to stay based on who your party will include.

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

Hot and humid! Even in late September, we expect it to still be hot.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Because of limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand our decision.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we can only accommodate those named on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand our decision.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by food stations with several types of cuisine to choose from. We will make sure there are plenty of options to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. If you have a dietary restriction or allergy, please list this on your RSVP under preferences.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin at 5:30pm! Aim to be at the venue by 5pm to get comfortable and explore the grounds before the ceremony!

Question

What time will your reception end?

Answer

We will be exiting at 10:30pm! Feel free to call a ride after we leave. The venue closes at 11pm so there is no rush!
