Our journey began in the halls of Tallahassee Community College’s nursing program—Go Eagles! Despite being classmates, we spent the first year never exchanging a single word. But Grace couldn’t help noticing Austin’s laser focus wasn’t exactly on the lecture—it was on his stocks. One day, during a ten-minute break, Grace finally decided to call him out with a teasing remark: “Shouldn’t you be paying attention?” Without missing a beat, Austin smirked and replied, “I am.” That quick exchange led to a laugh, and just like that, we went back to our respective interests—one to class, the other to his stocks. Little did Grace know that later that night, Austin would embark on a deep dive through Instagram, determined to find my profile. That search eventually led to study sessions together, where he insisted time and time again that he wasn’t looking to date. But our nursing friends saw right through him—they knew he cared about me more than he was willing to admit. Then, on June 20, 2020, he finally gave in to the inevitable and asked me out. And just like that, everything changed. You could say my smile was the spark that ignited it all. Now, after 4.5 incredible years, we’re engaged, planning our wedding, and eagerly anticipating the next chapter of our lives together. We are beyond excited for the future and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
